Cambre d_Aze

1640 > 2400 m
Eyne and Saint-Pierre-dels-Forcats

The Cambre d’Aze area gathers together two ski resorts sharing the same massif: Eyne and Saint-Pierre-dels-Forcats. Created in 1999, this vast ski area is dominated by the majestic Cambre d’Aze cirque. The fi rst ski area one discovers upon reaching the high mountain plateaux, the Cambre d’Aze area is nestled within an immense forest of mountain pines. Skiers can take advantage of 21 different pistes (totalling 35 km) for all ability levels. The ski area is famous for its ‘Coulée de Fontfrède’, an extraordinary slope that attracts powder fans, and its legendary Les Pioches, an old-style rag lift that carries two skiers at a time! Conviviality and authenticity are the key words of the Cambre d’Aze area, where Pyrenean village life has not only been preserved but continues to thrive, thanks to the arrival of new artisans, shopkeepers and farmers.
